I HAVE A HOTPOINT DRYER vtdoo model and I disconnected the

I HAVE A HOTPOINT DRYER vtdoo model and I disconnected the wires at the control panel don't know if I have reconnected them properly as the dryer will run for 2-3 minutes then stop after 3-5 minutes it will turn the drum again and stop , never used to do this , any ideas?

Hi

Can you post the serial number please of the dryer. It will be on a sticker on the inside of the door then I can get the correct wiring diagram.

But you need to prefix the number with an A otherwise it will get crossed out.

Eg A12345678

Ok if you look on the back of the timer do you see any markings on there like number or number and letters?

Eg 8 or A2?

Yes there are numbers if you where looing at one corner I know the black cable was connected into that port ant the number is ***** above that in the next corner is number 10 I think the black and grey coloured cable was connected to that port, then the following corner there is two ports one numbered "1" and the other "2" then on the next corner there are 3 ports following on from number "2" port numbered I think 5, 3 and 4

Ok looking at the wiring diagram it shows as follows.

2 = pink/white

10 = black/white

3 = red

5 = brown

8 = 2x blue

Does any of this tally up with what you have on you timer?
