my bosch fridge freezer is 12 yrs old and was collecting ice

Customer Question

my bosch fridge freezer is 12 yrs old and was collecting ice on the front of the 3 freezer draws. I had it serviced and replaced the freezer door seal. The draws don't shut properly as the back panel is sticking out causing the drawers to stop the door to shut properly

Hiya,
Take the drawers out and press on the rear wall inside the freezer.
Is there ice behind the panel, pushing it out?
Can you post the E-Nr number of the appliance please?
It should be on a label inside the machine.
Thanks

I have taken the drawers out and pushed the panel at the back there is no ice but it was loose so I pushed it right in and the trays fit better now.

the E-NR is EN 8561

Hiya,
Thanks for letting me know.
Good job, let me know if you still have a problem with it.
Thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

the problem is still there but not as bad as before the front of the freezer drawers are still slightly frozen although the door does close properly.

Hiya,
If the front of the drawers are frosting over then air is still getting in.
You need to take the panels on the rear inside off, fully defrost behind them, and then refit them so they sit properly.
Once this is done, you need to ensure the seal is sealing all the way around.
Thanks
