My Bernini Sport sewing machine has given wonderful service

My Bernini 'Sport' sewing machine has given wonderful service for 20 odd years without problem. I sewed a straight seam as usual then changed the needle position to sew in a zip-the machine wouldn't move forwards or backwards. I have done all the usual checks but to no avail ( I still have the users book.) I'm looking for a Bernini technician. Thank you.

Michael I have no complaints about your answers. As I said earlier my problem was solved by a friend as he helped me with finding the machine number etc.and in doing so saw the solution! Thanks. Maureen
