Resolved Question:

AEG FAVORIT80872 PN *********
The machine has recently had a new heater element. It now heats water on the wash cycle but still does not dry the dishes. Is there a thermostat that may need changing as well ?

Hi

Does it heat up still on all wash cycles?

Also have you removed the metal mesh filters inside the dishwasher and cleaned the underside of the filter as this can get gunged up and cause heating faults.

The water heats up on all cycles and the mesh is clear.

The dishes are cold when you open at the end of the programme.

Hi
Ok if it heats up fine on a wash but isn't drying then it looks like a faulty control board. As how the dry side works is it does a hot rinse at the end and sits there doing nothing. That's how it drys. As it heats Ok then the heater or thermostat as if it was it will affect the wash as well. So this all sound like a control board issue here.
