Hi

Ok if you remove the bottom baskets inside the freezer look on the back wall in there and do you see any ice or frost on the back panel?

Regards

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

There is no ice anywhere at all the appliance has been sitting for weeks not working and i cannot use it. I originally turned it off for 24 hours and off again every so often but it was still the same.

Hi

Ok in this case its either the control board itself at the back or the compressor.

If you are looking at fixing this yourself then you need to remove the metal panel at the back at the bottom.

From there you will see the compressor. Remove the plastic cover on the left of the compressor to reveal the wires.

On there you will see a black wire. You need to check if theres 230v there. If there is then the compressor is the fault. If there isn't then the control board on the far right at the back is faulty.

But if you don't want to go messing with it then price wise to get someone on for a compressor replacement you are looking at roughly £300-400 fitted.

For the rear control board fitted you are looking at £200 roughly.

So on a 10 year old appliance its a big gamble as they don't last long now a days so 10 years is actually good for these.
