Our Bosch dishwasher is type SMS6012GB/20

Customer Question

Our Bosch dishwasher is type SMS6012GB/20. A fault has developed in that glassware is left with chalky deposits at end of cycle. This is dealt with by immersing items in cold water and allowing to drain. We have used a Fairy dishwasher cleaner tablet but with no improvement. Can you suggest remedial action please. John XXXXX

JamesInch :

Can you confirm you have been using rinse aid?
The chalky deposit is normally a sign of either too much soap (and not enough rinse aid) or the water being to hard.
If the rinse aid is topped up, turn the dial to increase the amount of rinse aid used by the dish washer. If this is already high, then look at the salt (is this topped up) and look to reduce the salt usage, or half the tablet used by the dish washer.
If this gives an improvement its then a case of adjusting the rinse aid, salt and amount of tablet to get the desired affect.

Customer:

Rinse aid is being used (Waitrose). Salt is being loaded (Waitrose) Dihswasher tablets used Finish Powerball. Have already attempted various setting of rinse add applications, none of which appears to make any difference. Am not aware of means of adjusting salt proportions.

Customer:

Could you advisde further

Customer:

James Inch,

Thank you.W e have attempted to adjust rinse aid indicator, without any recognisable change. Have re-loaded salt container recently, this ran out after 7 days. Not aware of means of adjusting amount of salt dispensation from handbook. Not too technically comptent.

Sorry for delay in responding.

Coutl you p[ossible advise further, pl;ease?
