Customer Question

We have a 1 year old Worcester Bosch 32 cdi boiler. The hot water temperature is uneven: the water gets hot eventually, but it gets cold again quickly, giving us major problems with showers. We read about the water pressure, which was at zero bars, but we managed to bring it up to 1.2 bars. We could not get the adjusting valve to actually move, as per instructions. We need help, as our installer is on his honeymoon at present.

Plumberpro : Hi . How old is the boiler?
Plumberpro :

Hi ,sorry just reread the question . one year old , doh . wow that isn't long for it to be having this problem . this is usually caused by a gunked up hot water heat exchanger. Can you remember if you system was totally cleaned/flushed before the new boiler was fitted ?

Plumberpro :

.

JACUSTOMER-bxof6eqc- :

Yes, the system was totally flushed when the new boiler was fitted.

Plumberpro :

Does this happen with the kitchen hot tap ?

JACUSTOMER-bxof6eqc- :

yes, the same happens with any other tap

Plumberpro :

Hello . has it been like this since installation?

JACUSTOMER-bxof6eqc- :

no, the problem started last Thu 14th August.

Plumberpro :

Well . this problem has a few possible reasons.

Plumberpro :

Does the heating work ok?

JACUSTOMER-bxof6eqc- :

yes

Plumberpro :

Hello . either the hot water heat exchanger is sludged up or the hot water temperature sensor is faulty. Would go with the first one . usually when the hot water get exchanger is sludged/blocked the water can't move through quickly enough , overheats ,shuts down on the stat before starting again. This can be checked by removing the case and feeling the heat exchanger ( will get very hot ), go cold then very hot again . but is your boiler still in warranty .even if its over slightly ,Worcester may still honour it .

JACUSTOMER-bxof6eqc- :

Thank you for your time. Nevertheless in 2 hours we do not seem to have made much progress. We have therefore decided to abandon

JACUSTOMER-bxof6eqc- :

this site. We trust that the company will honour the "no-charge" promise, as our problem has not been solved.

Plumberpro :

Well .that's not true at all . I gave you the answer to your problem but you failed to honour your side

Plumberpro :

Also you have given me a poor service when I have spent 2 hours helping you with your problem
