Good morning We have 2 Neff dishwashers in our kitchen.

Customer Question

Good morning
We have 2 Neff dishwashers in our kitchen. They are both about a year old but we have constant problems with their cleaning/rinsing performance.
We use one of the machines all of the time and the other is occasional, max. 12 times to date.
The problem is that there is a residue (food) on the plates, glasses, so it doesn't look like they are rinsing properly. We therefore have to hand wash the residue off, even after putting the machine on twice.
We use Finish power ball's (all in one) although also top up salt and rinse aid regularly.
I have also used a Finish dishwasher cleaner tablet in the last fortnight and have removed the filter and cleaned it.
This is occurring in both dishwashers.
Do you know what would be causing this and can you please assist.
Thank you
Kirsty

Hiya,
Do you put food stuff into the dishwasher or do you rinse it off of the plates before washing?

Take the spray arms off.
Are any of the holes blocked with food stuff/debris?

Thanks
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

We generally rinse pretty well.

ill try taking the arms off.

Hiya,
OK, check the spray arms.
If they are all clear then there's no reason food stuff should be sticking to the dishes.

Thanks

the arm is clean and water runs freely

I did however notice some water sitting under the filter

is this right?

Hiya,
Yes, water should be under the filter.
It works the same as a U bend in a sink.

I'm at a loss with this.

Is the food stuff that is left on the crockery the same food stuff that was on them when placed in the machine?

Thanks

No, it's just little bits, like wheatbix dust if that makes sense?

Hiya,
OK, then it's broken down foodstuff that's going through the system.

However, as you don't put foodstuff in the machine it's a mystery as to why it's happening, and to happen to 2 machines is extremely strange.

Sorry, I can't see this being a fault with the machine.
Take the spray arms off.
Run the machine on it's hottest wash with a lemon cut in half in the base.

Then, refit the spray arms, clean out the filters and try the machine again.

Let me know what happens.
Thanks
