I have a RealLife XXL Aquasave Dish Washer. The power comes

Resolved Question:

I have a RealLife XXL Aquasave Dish Washer. The power comes on, however when I select Auto then close the door the water jets don't come on and after a few minutes the red light flashes. Can you suggest any fix for this. Many Thanks. G. Murphy

KevinWhiteJA :

Hi, welcome to Just answer

KevinWhiteJA :

please tell me its complete model number and how old is it ?

KevinWhiteJA :

have you also checked the water inlet valve/hose ?

Customer:

Hi,

Customer:

Model Number is *****

Customer:

It is a built in unit and was installed with our Kitchen 2 1/2 years ago.

Customer:

Water inlet valve is open

KevinWhiteJA :

ok

KevinWhiteJA :

does it flash in a set sequence or continuously ?

Customer:

Will check

KevinWhiteJA :

ok also let me know if the door is closing properly

Customer:

Door seems to be closing properly

Customer:

Red light comes on (shines on floor)

Customer:

It takes a few mins to start flashing

Customer:

now flashing every half second

Customer:

Two beeps every second

Customer:

I could here a pump running when I closed the door

KevinWhiteJA :

ok

Customer:

I just opened the door and a red indicator was flashing in time with the beeps. The indicator is next to a horizontal Arrow

KevinWhiteJA :

ok so you start the unit, close the door and power on the unit but it wont start filling...and the water inlet valve and hose are absolutely clean and the water is turned on...is that right ?

Customer:

yes

KevinWhiteJA :

if the inlet valve is fine then it is the door lock mechanism that is bad and will need replacement

KevinWhiteJA :

control wont detect that the door is closed and so wont start filling

Customer:

ok

KevinWhiteJA :

if you repair it yourself it will cost around £50

Customer:

Thanks

KevinWhiteJA :

Is there anything else I can assist you with today ?

Customer:

No. That will do for now.

KevinWhiteJA :

You're welcome....Excellent feedback is appreciated if you are satisfied with my assistance....Have a Good Day
