Hello We have bought a HIC64102 60cm induction hob.to fit

Resolved Question:

Hello
We have bought a HIC64102 60cm induction hob.to fit in our new kitchen. However, on attempting to fit it we have found that there is no sealing gasket included. It is really important to get this job completed this weekend and we won't be able to speak to the company we bought it from until Monday. Is there any way we can buy a gasket this weekend? Or is there any alternative we can use?
Thanks
Penny

Plumberpro :

Hi . I have used clear silicon before and it works well . just put a bead around the hole and lat the hob on top . it works well and when set helps fix the hob down

Customer: Thanks for advice. This is really suitable for a hob, spills and heat, is it?
Plumberpro :

Yes . its great protection against spills and silicon is very heat resistant.

Plumberpro :

You can get silicon baking mats etc now

Customer: Worried in case I ever have to lift it?
Plumberpro :

It will lift . as soon as one area comes up , it will all come with it as well

Customer: Ok. Many thanks for your advice. Penny
