Go to the rear of the appliance. Can you see two screws going upwards into the hob top from its underneath?
Yes and then what - do I take off the glass hob?
Switch off the hob at the wall
Remove the screws that are holding the hob that we have just described and lift the rear of the hob and slide it forward gently
Done that and lifted hob clear.
Ok .. be careful not to damage any of the wiring that can get cut on the sharp metal edges
At the front of the appliance you should see a plate covering the top of the wiring and selector switches... undo it... dont worry if it is not there as sometimes this is not included.
let me know
have you removed the panel?
Have removed control knobs and two screws from each cast alloy end allowing glass control panel and end plates to be removed exposing fixing screws to simerstat - I'm ok from here - thanks George.
