Philips streamium wacs 7500- a CD appears to have been inserted

Resolved Question:

Philips streamium wacs 7500- a CD appears to have been inserted into the slot the wrong way round- the unit will not eject the disc as it doesn't seem to recognise that there is a cd present - is there anything I can do to solve this problem?

Hello, my name is ***** ***** I will try to assist you with answers to your problem.

Please be patient whilst awaiting answers.. I will return.

George-Allsorts :

Can you tell me what happens if you press the eject button?

Customer: It says "No Disc"
George-Allsorts :

does the drawer try to open

Customer: It is not a drawer- it is a slot at the top of the unit
George-Allsorts :

Yes, it is efectively still a drawer inside... Does the motor operate to attempt to remove the disc or attempt to read the disc, or does it just come up with NO DISC immediately

Customer: When you come out of standby it says"Reading CD" - then, when you press eject button, it says "No DIsc" immediately - motor definitely does not operate at all
George-Allsorts :

Sorry, the CD drive on the unit needs replacing or the pc board that powers the drive.
