how to change the battery on a WORCESTER Digistat wall unit - having trouble getting the unit apart
Hello, my name is ***** ***** I will assist you with answers to your problem. Please be patient whilst awaiting answers.. I will return.
Can you tell me more about your problem.. what is it that you are unable to get apart?
Worcester Digistat wall unit for setting tempreture
I need to replace batteries but can get open the unit to access to replace
Which version of the digistat do you have?
The battery compartment should be situated at the bottom of the unit (press to unlatch and slide down)
it's at least 10 years old
Hopefully, the access to the battery is the same for most versions
i cant get the unit apart
Does the unit have the battery compartment underneath?
Yes - but when I push in it doesn't slide out and I dont want to force it
~On some of the older ones the battery cover was on the right hand side underneath... these ones required the use of a coin or the edge of a blunt kitchen knife to prise off the cover
same as we use to do on the old transister radios
You are very welcome
Make sure you put the batteries in the right way around
YEP - LETS HOPE I CAN GET IT ALL BACK TOGETHER NOW!
Let me know how you get on... If there is anything further I can help you with, please feel free to ask.
Easy when you know how!
one last thing - I would like to override the timer settings so I just turn it on when I need
Was it the first or second that you had?
first or second?
I can send you a link to some user manuals to help you if you wish?
that would be great, thanks George - a complete novice here!
Does your controller have a model number on it?
no, I think thats an indication how old it is - its got to be over 15 years old
Thanks for all your help George
