KevinWhiteJA :

Hi, welcome to Just answer

KevinWhiteJA :

How old is it ?

Customer:

2yrs

KevinWhiteJA :

ok ... E14 is a wash heater error

KevinWhiteJA :

you will have to take the back panel off and check the connections to the heater

KevinWhiteJA :

also the thermostat located above the heater should be checked

KevinWhiteJA :

if everything appears fine there then the problem is with the heater that will need replacement

Customer:

Is thar expensive to replace. And is it something that can be done other than an technician.

KevinWhiteJA :

a new heater assembly will cost around £30-£40

Customer:

Must say , a little surprised as its only 2yrs old .

KevinWhiteJA :

yes it can be due to a loose connection

KevinWhiteJA :

you can also leave it unplugged for a while and then try again...

KevinWhiteJA :

looking at the age of this unit, the heater might be fine and the problem might be just the thermistor (NTC)

Customer:

Ok, so if its the thermostat,is that something that can be replaced inexpensively ?

KevinWhiteJA :

that will cost around £15 + repair charges

KevinWhiteJA :

you can also contact www.repaircare.co.uk to get a more accurate quote

KevinWhiteJA :

if you want to do it yourself then you will have to take the back panel off and check the connections however, it is better to get it done by a tech if you are not sure

Customer:

Ok Kevin thankyou, I ll check that out .

KevinWhiteJA :

You're welcome...you can get back to me if you need any assistance and I will help with no additional charges....Excellent feedback is appreciated if you are satisfied with my assistance ... Have a good day :)

Customer:
