Customer:

Hi, my name is ***** ***** I have been in the home improvement and repair field for 20 years. I will be very glad to help you today. Do you have a mult-meter to test that you are getting voltage to the board?

Customer:

Do you have experience with testing voltage?

JACUSTOMER-ovuvkejp- :

Yes. I am an ex tv service engineer from the old days! Power is getting to the board.

Customer:

Does the power indicator light come on?

JACUSTOMER-ovuvkejp- :

No power light at all. Should be easy!

Customer:

If you disconnect the T-con board connector does the back light come on?

JACUSTOMER-ovuvkejp- :

Which is the t-con connector, the bigger one from the power board?

Customer:

The power supply may have been DOA also. This is lcd or plasma?

JACUSTOMER-ovuvkejp- :

It's aplasma. I have changed the whole power board for a brand new one.

Customer:

Ok no t con on that. Thought it was LCD for some reason.

JACUSTOMER-ovuvkejp- :

Sorry. It is lcd it is a ue224000pw

Customer:

I thought so ok t con is the little board in the middle at the top. Disconnect the cable on the bottom and see if the back light lights up.

Customer:

Have you checked the voltage on the test points by the connectors on the power supply? The voltages are marked there what they should be.

JACUSTOMER-ovuvkejp- :

Not yet. Will do now

Customer:

I think the board you got is a DOA. It happens a lot. They say new board but no way that it is. It is either salvaged from a damaged tv or the closest to new it is refurbished. May be best when the voltages do not test well to send it back and send your board to a service that repairs them. There are many that will repair your existing power supply on Ebay.

JACUSTOMER-ovuvkejp- :

That sounds like a cop out. No one sends out u/s on ebay. Too much hassel!

Customer:

I'm not trying to cop out just trying to offer what I can before the timer runs out.

Customer:

What were the results of the voltage testing?

Customer:

I still have not heard back from you and would like to continue to help.

Customer:

I am not sure how my service could be considered poor when you will no longer respond.
