ok, stopped working means is it completely dead or it is not heating ?

Completely dead.

ok, how old is it ?

Customer:

7 or 8 years old I think

ok, well I dont think reset will work but you can still try

KevinWhiteJA :

the reset is located inside the back of the unit near the heater assembly

KevinWhiteJA :

it was heating fine before it went dead ?

Customer:

Yes it had been used for anumber of loads yesterday morning. But simply didn't work when a fina load was put in a couple of hours later. If you don't think the reset will work do you think the motor has gone?

KevinWhiteJA :

no as it is completely dead then this indicates the problem with the power board of the dryer

KevinWhiteJA :

I dont think it is the motor

Customer:

OK. As the machine is old would you suggest getting a replacement power board or just cough up for a new dryer?

KevinWhiteJA :

if you still want to try the reset...you can take the back off with the unit unplugged...you will see a reset button near the heater element, you can push that and it might reset the unit

KevinWhiteJA :

a new board will cost around £200 and looking at the age of the unit it is better to buy a new one instead of spending that amount on 8 years old dryer

Customer:

Ok. Thought so. I will try the reset and if a miracle happens; happy days if not I'll let the boss choose a new one! Could it be anyting else? I will try a new fuse but it did not circuit the circuit board so unlikely its that I assume?

As it is completely dead I think it is the board nothing else
