My T.V. regularly will not respond to the remote control. When

My T.V. regularly will not respond to the remote control. When I try to switch it on.
Batteries in the remote ok. I have to switch the main power supply off for a couple of minutes then it will work for a couple of days then quit again. Remote seems to work ok

Hi Jackie, sorry to hear that.
If you have fresh batteries in and the contacts are clean, then this is an indication of a failing button inside the remote.
You can get a brand new exact replacement remote from this site.

When my Tv is on I can operate it ok from the manual control switch

When it ceases to work the manual switch will not turn it on. I would assume

that the manual switch works independant of the remote and should switch

it on. I do not want to buy a remote at thirty pounds when the fault coul be somewhere else any thoughts

Hi Jack, sorry for the delay we had no power here yesterday ;-(
There are two components that make up the remote circuit basically.
One is the remote itself that sends infrared signals to the TV, the other part is the infrared receiver circuit inside the TV that receives that signal. In most cases the issue is a failed remote, so I would replace that and likely that will fix the issue. But if for any reason you still have this problem I will be here, please simply then reply to this message for further instruction.
