Hi I have a Zanussi TC781W. *********** The drum seems stiffer

Resolved Question:

Hi I have a Zanussi TC781W. ***********
The drum seems stiffer than normal to rotate by hand.
I sounds noisy or rough when rotated by hand as if something is jammed in it somewhere, perhaps a button or could it be the bearing is worn ?
I have felt around the seals but cant locate anything unusual.

its probably 10 yrs old not sure to be honest..

It runs noisy all the time now.. dries the clothes but does not sound right

Thanks John, don't run it any longer like that as it can cause the motor to fail or worse a fire.
What you need to fix this model, is complete tune up kit. you need, the belt, tensioner, and the rubber guide wheels.
This is pretty easy to do and straight forward if you are handy and have some basic hand tools.This will make the until run lie a charm;-).
Even if you will call an appliance tech in to make the repair, it will cost you far less if you already have the parts.
The problem is likely going to be just one of the rubber guide wheels. But once you having the unit serviced you may as well replace all of that at one time because you may have other issues and more trouble.
The parts are not very expensive either. I will assist you with this repair if you would like, no additional cost;-)

I did not see any guide wheels.. should these be visible when the back cover is off

Hi John, when the back usually you will see them when the front is off.
Also thats what you need to remove to make these repairs;-)
