My Siemens WT57030/01Condenser Dryer stopped working after putting a load in as normal there was a slight fishy smell then it just stopped.

Power light is on as is Drum light.Dryer is approx 20years old

This sounds like a bad motor.
The best place to try for this part is Espares: phone 0844 9777 888.
The motor can be replaced pretty easily if you are a bit handy.

How Certain are you that its the motor and not a thermostat for instance

HI Vic, you could check that with a lest light but the fishy smell would usually indicate the motor;-)

Michael my wife also tells me it made a sound like a cat meowing at the same time.So i can discount the sensors?
