George-Allsorts :

Hello, my name is***** be patient whilst awaiting responses, I'm not constantly available.

Can you tell me the model number of the appliance

George-Allsorts :

The Oe code is telling you that your washing machine cannot drain for some reason...

Has the appliance just been installed or has it been in situ for some time?

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

drict drive -wm-14316fd

George-Allsorts :

Thank you for that

George-Allsorts :

Has the appliance just been installed or has it been in situ for some time?

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

no its working with no problems for about 6 years

George-Allsorts :

OK... was it freezing near you last evening?

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

i dont think it was really freezing

George-Allsorts :

OK... are you near the appliance now?

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

yes

George-Allsorts :

Get yourself a bucket similar to a washing-up bowl

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

its making a loud clanging noise on spin and it seems as though it doesnt want to turn the drum

George-Allsorts :

Don't put it on spin

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

got bucket ive emptied the water out allready at the bottom

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

do u want me to start it

George-Allsorts :

Take the drain hose and place it in the bucket and put the bucket near to the floor

George-Allsorts :

Put the appliance on drain only

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

how do u mean dont put it on spin

George-Allsorts :

cancel the program and select a drain only program

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

done that

George-Allsorts :

Is the pump running and water draining into the bucket?

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

its still same problem

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

no water coming out

George-Allsorts :

The drum should not be attempting to turn

George-Allsorts :

I am trying to determine if the pump is working ok

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

i think its just making the noise, i might be wrong about the drum trying to turn

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

its just being noisey i think

George-Allsorts :

The pump should be running and draining any residual water from the drum... If you need to, you can put a little water into the soap drawer at this point to help you determine this... use about half litre

George-Allsorts :

Ensure that you are not using a spin program to do this as if it is what I think it is you will damage the machine by doing so

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

no water coiming out and i have tired it on a spin program last night

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

im ive done it on the drain program

George-Allsorts :

I need to go to my other office... I shall return in about 20 mins to help you

George-Allsorts :

Ok.. sorry about the delay...

So, is the appliance pump pumping out the water?

George-Allsorts :

OK... Don't try this .. you should be able to tell from memory...

Did the drum look as if the drum was stuck when it was trying to spin... as if it was trying to go both ways at the same time?

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

no

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

the drum did look like it was stuck, dont know about both ways

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

got to go out now, back shortly

George-Allsorts :

OK... please let me know when you are back and we shall carry on from there

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

back

George-Allsorts :

Welcome back

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

hi

George-Allsorts :

OK.. we need to determine some things

George-Allsorts :

If you pour water into the drum, does it flow freely through to the bucket?

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

no

George-Allsorts :

OK.. how much water did you pour into the drum

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

about 5 small pan full

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

its got water in the drum now

George-Allsorts :

OK.. On your appliance, is the hose coming out of the top or the bottom of the rear of the machine?

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

about a third of the way down

George-Allsorts :

OK.. Now put the end of the hose in the bucket, turn the dial to DRAIN only, and turn the appliance on

George-Allsorts :

Is the pump running?

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

doing it now

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

water is staying in machine

George-Allsorts :

OK... You need to drain the machine... Remove the pump and for blockages and check the impellors, then put the pump back... Can you do this?

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

ill try do u think the pump is blocked

George-Allsorts :

That should read: Remove the pump and check for blockages and check the impellors are working and not jammed, then put the pump back... Can you do this?

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

ill have a go

George-Allsorts :

I think you either have a blockage at the outlet pump, or the impellor is damaged, or the motor is not working...

George-Allsorts :

Can you actually hear the pump running?

JACUSTOMER-wtw268d3- :

having trouble getting screws out

George-Allsorts :

Which screws.. the ones in the kick panel?

George-Allsorts :

Could you actually hear the pump running when you tried it befor?

George-Allsorts :

How did you get on with the pump?

George-Allsorts :

Do you need any further assistance with the repair of this appliance ie. part numbers
