Hi I am Tech Michael, I am sorry to hear that.
Please be patient as these are technical issues and I want to guide you the best way possible to save you money and time;-)
Please remember these are technical issues and may require some back and forth conversation to sort this out.
Is your boiler gas?
Also do you have the model #?
And when did the unit seem to fail like this?
Thank you

It has been on and off for the last two weeks although the last couple of days it hasn't been coming on at all before that it seemed to come on when it felt like it.

Thank you, ***** ***** has it been since you have this unit professionally cleaned?
It should be done once a year to keep it running. What happens is dust and soot gets on the inner workings and will not allow the unit to run properly.
Thank you
