Customer Question

My Neff oven U1442NOBG is heating up I think correctly at the top and back as Ive placed a seperate thermometer in the oven , however, when its at the front it takes a lot longer to reach the correct temperature, and when one or more items are cooking the oven temp drops internally and it takes ages for food to cook, it can drop from 200 to 150 in a couple of minutes.
Any ideas?
Cheers Neil

Hi this is Tech Mike

Michael :

make sure the door seals are good

Michael :

please let me know

Customer:

Hi the seals were replaced about 18 months ago and on just looking are ok

Michael :

usaully the problem is the thermal probe inside the oven though

Michael :

when it fails it will either overheat or not hold temp well

Michael :

its easy to replace with just basically a screwdriver

Customer:

Ive just moved the thermometer to the front and turned the heat up, Im waiting to see what happens when the oven says its at temp, then comparing with inner thermometer

Michael :

it may come up to temp but the temp probe in the oven can not recognise quick enough so you will have erratic performance.

Michael :

99% of the time thats all the problem is;-)

Michael :

I will switch us to Q & A so your question wont time out until we are through;-)

Customer:

It . the oven says it was at 200 but internally at the front top was 160?

Customer:

Michael :

the best place to get that is Espares, and its a ten minute repair.
