when i turn the clock inside the house on to constant and press the reset on the burner the burner fires and seams to work fine but as soon as i turn the clock to timer the burner locks out and will not work even if i press the reset button. Any solutions?

It seems that the problem you may have is that the timer is set and will only come on at the time set to do so

i know how the timer works, so it is not my problem.

So you have waited until the time st on the timer, yet at that time the boiler doesn't start... Is that correct?

when i turn the timer on constant i also set the timer to come on as soon as i turn it over to clock, but the burner wont turn on, so i then go out to the burner to press the reset button to see will fire up but burner seams to run but wont fire.

George-Allsorts :

Normally, when on constant the boiler will work all the time... When switched to timer the boiler will switch off and on relative to the times set in/on the clock...

During the time that the boiler is set on timer, the only way to get the boiler to run is to reset the start time or over-ride the timer by selecting constant....

George-Allsorts :

If the boiler is set to come on at a specific time on the time but does not do so, then you will need a boiler technician to investigate the problem, as there is a likelyhood of bad connection in timer, or faulty timer
