Hello My name is Ian ~ I am not on the site constantly so please be patient whilst waiting for responses to you queries
Does the fan in the freezer spin and are you able to check the temperatures in both cavities?
hi yes it does and you can feel the cool air blowing into both the freezer and the fridge, sometimes it will freeze the water in the ice tray without any issues then it turns off. after that it doesnt turn back on until you manually switch it off and on. i dont have a thermometer unfortunately
OK you have a couple of electronic ntc sensors fitted in the evaporator behind the freezer fan panel, one is used to measure the temperature after it has finished the defrost part of its cycle. Once this sensor senses a temperature above freezing point upon the evaporator (when all the ice has defrosted) it switches the motor back on. It sounds like the sensor is faulty and needs replacing. When I get back to work in the morning I'll get you the part number and price and come back on here and give you the details ~ Ian
thaanks did you manage to get the part number
the other thing i noticed is that if you switch on the SUPER button it doesnt do anything. ie the tfreezincycle deoesnt start. i managed to down load a manual and even didnt the self diagnostic but didnt show any faults always returning to the -- on the display. would the above ring true with your diagnostics
