OK thak you.. One moment please
What model is it... that should be on the same label.. ff4dx??
model is ff4dx
I am here .. I am checking what parts your appliance contans .. and checking our information on your system.. one moment please
Can you look at the back of the freezer behind the drawers to see if you can see any ice behind the back panel
no there is no ice there, i have defrosted the freezer completely
Can you actually see the fan?
well, i just finished doing so
there is no fan at the back
the fan is inside of the freezer compartment
there was some ice inside of the fan compartment but i have blown it all away(Defrosted it)
Yes I know... can you actually see it
yes i can see the fan
Can you see if the fan is siezed.. ie. try move it with something
it moves freely
when i turn it with my fingers
Have you checked the temperature of the freezer?
the fan does not kick in as its supposed to as it has to blow air into the fridge compartment as well as the freezer too
When the fridge freezer is turned on,,, does the fan rotate... to find this out, you'll need to close the door and open it speedily as the door has a magnetic switch that turns off the fan
trying it now just a sec
no, the fan does not move at all
the fan does not turn
Sorry... lost connection
Do you have someone who is able to use a multimeter to test both the fan resistance and the power to the fan?
took the fan out and tested it and the fan works
Then try testing the power to the fan with a multimeter
its 220v input and it works plugged in normal 220v
unfortunately havent got a multimeter. but assuming there is no power from the fride to the fan whats the next thing to check
is there a fuse some where in the fridge to look out for?
You need to test/replace the circuit board that supplies the fan... one moment and I'll see if I can find the part number for you
Found two boards... trying to identify which one is the culprit....
In the meantime, can I ask you to take a moment to rate my assistance/responses so far? Please use the smiley faces which you should now see. Once rated, I will assist you further with the fault... The higher the rating the better for me.This will initially close our chat but we can still re-open and continue our conversation
which board is the culprit
Which board would cause the fan to lose power.. as I said, there are two boards... got to consult the oricle
dont worry i will rate you good if i get the response i need. thanks
Thanks... sorry... taking some time to get the details I need
Sorry you are having to wait... I am awaiting a wiring diagram
OK... the board you need is the power board C00260750 at £91.31 approx, however, the board has to be programmed using a one shot Key costing £41.62. and this goes into a programming device called a smart card reader at £116.12..My advise to you would be to contact Indesit and ascertain their costs for replacement / refurbishment of this pcb
You could however, send the board to EMW... Their details are:

They can proberbly repair the board for you
