Sharpe LCD TV (LC-40CT2E) does not appear to be powering up.

Resolved Question:

Sharpe LCD TV (LC-40CT2E) does not appear to be powering up. Have checked the fuse in the plug OK but the red standbye light does not come on and the remote will not work? Where do i go from here?

Have tou checked near the rear power input to see if the switch is on?

Yes, have checked power to plug and the fuse in plug.

I mean on the tv itself where the power enters the tv there is usually a switch used to turn the tv power on an off when when you want to not leave it in standby

George-Allsorts :

On/off switch on your model is located on the left-hand side of the TV (from front view)

Customer: The button on the side is not working either. Set is getting power just not switching on. Am I looking at a power/transformer unit? If so how difficult are they to fix/change out?

Not specifically. It looks like there is power to the TV but it will not switch on. What should i do now?

You will need to replace the power board.. It is a screws and plugs thing.. easy to replace
