Our CDE2Ti was plugged into an extension lead yesterday, today despite the power light being on the on/off button and dual panel heat settings will not switch on.

What you are telling me is that the power supply light is on but the power switch/button will not operate and therefore the other panel switches will not work... is that correct?

Yes, had been told that these Dimplex Oil free radiators should not be plugged into the mains via an extension lead, the booklet seems to suggest this and refers to an inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out!!
