You have a leak into the base of the appliance... You need to find and solve the leak, and drain any remaining water from the base

If you do not find any water in the base of the appliance then you have a fault on the flood protection float switch

Once you have got rid of the water, then found and corrected the leak, you should be able to continue using the appliance... It is not normal that the switch would need changing.
