We have a Bosch Extractor Hood Model DHE 620AGB and both the light and the fan have stopped working. We ve changed the bulb and still no go, any ideas of what the fault might be please ?

Ok thanks. What usually happens ok cooker hoods is sometimes when the bulb blows it takes the fuse out in the plug as well.

As this is a built in hood then look in the cuboards next to it and see if the plug is there. Or if theres a cuboard above it look in there as well.
If you cannot see the plug then you need to climb on top of the worktop and look above the units on the wall and you may find the plug there. The lead isnt to long so it shouldnt be far from the hood itself.

Once you have the plug check the fuse in there as its usually a 3amp fuse. Replace it for another fuse and retry it and fingers crossed this should cure it.

But if you just cannot find the plug then the fitters may have hard wired it to the wall or mains supply. In this case there isnt a fuse to blow when the bulb goes so what happens in this case it blows the control board in the hood itelf. In this case you need to remove the hood door and the covers on the rigth hand side were the switches are to access the controls and replace them from there.

But fingers crossed its just the fuse in the plug thats gone so check that and see what you find.
