We have two domestic Bosch HBA 63A2.0. built in oven units

Resolved Question:

We have two domestic Bosch HBA 63A2.0. B built in oven units - both seem to "vent " poorly - when opening the oven door during cooking steam/ vapour exits the door excessively .- this tends to manifest in food " poaching" rather than roasting sometimes - example ,when roasting vegetables .
How does the oven unit vent during operation - is there something we can check ?

George-Allsorts :

Thanks Lee.. One moment please

George-Allsorts :

Lee, The oven vents through the rear and upwards..

There are technical drawings for the installation of the ovens available and they include ventilation gap requirements... I will include a link to these at the end of this text...

Other things that can cause heat and ventilation faults are:

  • placing trays, coverings or coatings on the inner base of the appliance, this causes the oven to run at incorrect / uneven temperature distribution

  • placing foil or greaseproof paper on the shelves .. this prevents even cooking and correct ventilation
