Old (18 years) Worcester 240 combi. Over the years the water

Resolved Question:

Old (18 years) Worcester 240 combi.
Over the years the water temperature switch has been turned up and up to where it is at it is at maximum.
It has had a number of diaphragms over the years.
Unfortunately without the central heating on it takes along time to get hot water and it never reaches really hot. With the central heating on it reaches very hot water quickly with no problem - any ideas
Regards
Brian

Hi .it may be that the hot water temperature sensor is failing , also whilst the hot water tap is running, without heating on, check that heat isn't going to the heating/ radiator pipes. This would indicatethe diverter valve letting by. Diverter valve is next to but separate from the diaphragm ( which operates thevbhot water micro switch
