i have a Samsung RSH1DTSW fridge freezer. The power went off

Resolved Question:

i have a Samsung RSH1DTSW fridge freezer. The power went off today and when i switched the unit back on the only thing on the display is the bottom right digit (flashing) of the fridge temp, everything else works( water dispenser,ice dispenser). any suggestions please.

the builders unplugged it to patch up a wall behind

Hi Tony,
Thank you for that information. The main control board located at the back of the fridge/freezer has failed. This is common when electronics are plugged in for a long time and then unplugged. What happened is that the parts cooled and stressed as they will.
This is a very easy to replace part if you are handy and have just a few basic hand tools, I will help at no additional cost;-)

Hello my name is***** am a Samsung trained engineer before you go off and buy a new board there is a self test procedure that I would ask you to carry out before spending loads of money - there are a number of things that can cause this fault most of which are not associated with a board fault.
