Customer:

Hi, welcome to Just answer

Customer:

Please tell me its complete model number

JACUSTOMER-tch08uel- :

E-Nr SGS43A52GB

Customer:

OK and where is that noise coming from ? The bottom of the appliance ?

JACUSTOMER-tch08uel- :

Hard to say. Its not from inside

Customer:

OK and with the unit unplugged, can you pull it out and clean the drain pump assembly located inside the bottom of the appliance

JACUSTOMER-tch08uel- :

Do I have to lay it on it's back to remove the bottom panel to access the pump?

Customer:

Yes, unplug it and remove the hose then lay it on its back...try to clean as much as you can...after this check and try to run a cycle

Customer:

if the problem is still there after this is done then it is probably the motor that is bad and will need replacement

JACUSTOMER-tch08uel- :

I noticed on the right hand side behind the panel there is a plastic component with water channels in it. It might be clogged. Could this be the problem?

Customer:

the noise might be from something that is stuck in there...so cleaning should solve the problem

Hello. Have the dishwasher on its back with hoses removed. I can't see how I can remove the base panel to access the pumps. Is there another way?

Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 2 years ago.

Please check this Video, it will give you an idea on how it is done.

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

There is no removable panel as shown on the video. Any suggestions?

Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 2 years ago.
You have already removed the side panel and the bottom panel ?

Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 2 years ago.
OK, just wanted to check if I am looking at something different but yes..have you already tried to remove the bottom panel with a flat screw driver ? The bottom panel can be removed easily ....I mean that is how the pump is replaced.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

The base of this dishwasher is one large plastic moulding with no drop out central panel. It looks a though the door would have to be removed. Is this right?

Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 2 years ago.
OK, it that cannot be removed...then try to remove the bottom front panel of the appliance to check the drain pump.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Not accessible. it does not remove. It's part of the base moulding

Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 2 years ago.
OK, but that is how its done...can you access it from inside and also when you tipped the dishwasher on its back, did you see water coming out of the base ?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Have loosed the whole of the base moulding but it holds all of the items on rhs. Who designs these things???

Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 2 years ago.
:) Bosch... Let me know if problem remains there after you have cleaned it
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Main pump is clean. Nothing in it. What now?

Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 2 years ago.
OK and everything is fine, nothing is broken ? If yes, just plug it back in and check if it is still making noise and where is that noise coming from ?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

All reassembled. It did not start immediately and was making a noise. I wonder if it was a stuck filler valve. Then suddenly it started and has completed a full cycle. Right result but maybe the wrong reason. At least I know how to remove the bottom panel.
