It is a Stoves Newhome. It is six years old.

just a little more information . There are five burners on the gas hob and I think the large ring is the problem. When I turn the tap on to ignite it is giving a slow click whereas the others give fater clicks. I hope this makes sense.

What you need to fix this is the switch that controls the ignition on that burner. Its easy to replace and it simply fits over the gas valve that controls the gas flow.
You will need the ranges model number to order that switch.
