KevinWhiteJA :

, welcome to Just answer

KevinWhiteJA :

Please tell me its complete model number and how old is it ?

Customer:

SMS53E22GB

Customer:

dated 05/02/13

KevinWhiteJA :

OK, H20 is displayed when the water pressure is too or too low or something is blocked in the inlet hose or valve

KevinWhiteJA :

please check the water inlet hose and make sure everything is clean there

Customer:

Water pressure is ok and there is no kink in the hose - any other likely cause?

KevinWhiteJA :

OK, so does it even start...or you turn it on and it will flash error H20 ?

Customer:

Turned it on ok last night and selected pre rinse which was accepted - went out hours and when we came back it was displaying h20. Have turned it on and off several times hoping it will re set, but it just comes up with h20 - not flashing but just permanently on

KevinWhiteJA :

OK, with the dishwasher unplugged pull it out and then tip it on its back by around 45 degrees..water should come off the base...then clean it and plug it back...let me know if the error is still there

Customer:

Done that - don't know what you mean by water coming off the base though.

Customer:

Have tilted the machine backwards and forwards by about 45 degrees. Water hose still connected, drain hose still connected and power off. Still displaying h20 when switched back on

KevinWhiteJA :

OK, everything else seems fine then it is the water inlet valve that will need replacement

Customer:

Thanks - will call an engineer
