, welcome to Just answer

KevinWhiteJA :

Please tell me its complete model number

KevinWhiteJA :

and how old is it ?

Customer:

Miele Prestige Plus 6 and is about 5 yrs old

KevinWhiteJA :

OK, there is a model number located on or inside the door

Customer:

W562

Customer:

type HW07-1

Customer:

Model Number 07223330

KevinWhiteJA :

Thanks ....have you already tried to clean the drain pump filter located inside the bottom front of the washer ?

Customer:

yes

KevinWhiteJA :

OK, and there are no flashing lights and no error codes ?

Customer:

very briefly a indicator light showed stating to check the drain , which I did then ran the cleaner through, alot of soap gunk came out, so ran it through again and repeated until no more residues came out . I am now having to drain out the excess water from the washer via the drain pump filter after every wash otherwise the washing remains wet. This drainage water was clear until the last two washes when it became increasingly soiled.

KevinWhiteJA :

OK that's what I thought...check drain light indicates a problem with the pressure switch of the appliance...with the washer unplugged, you will have to pull it out and then remove the lid, after this remove the front panel, to remove the front you will have to remove the bolt under the door

KevinWhiteJA :

after this is done remove the hoses connecting the drain pump and then looking from the front there is a pressure switch towards the left of the pump make sure that is clean as well

KevinWhiteJA :

Check this image

KevinWhiteJA :

after you have cleaned the pump and the pressure switch the problem should be solved

Customer:

oh deep joy - will have to get a friend to help as just had a knee op !
