I have an indesit WIXE167 1600 spin washing machine which is

Resolved Question:

I have an indesit WIXE167 1600 spin washing machine which is about 5 yrs old. It is showing deno in the window where programme usually shows. It is only going on a dry spin cycle. What could be the problem? This has never happened before

It seems the washer is in Demo mode

How can that be changed and why would that have happened in first place?

KevinWhiteJA :

You will have to unplug the washer 3-4 minutes...then plug it back and simultaneously press and hold down the Start/Stop and the Start/Reset buttons together...D off should appear now and the washer should work now

you might have pressed some wrong buttons by mistake

Have done what you said, put machine back on and pressed both buttons togetherbut it is still showing deno and started the machine. Should the programme dial be in certain position when I do it?

yes the dial should be in off position

Customer:

Is the off position the m with a pencil beside it?

Customer:

There is no position on dial that looks like an off position

I mean at the 0 position not set on anything

I don't have a 0 setting on dial. It goes from 1-12 then with pictures etc.

at the start of the cycle

KevinWhiteJA :

also let me know if this model has a easy iron button

Customer:

It does have easy iron button

KevinWhiteJA :

OK... now unplug it again and after 2-3 minutes...press easy iron and start/reset and stop/start at the same time (all 3 buttons at same time) then plug it back in while holding these three buttons

will do so

ok

Customer:

I have seen Doff, but it has gone into 2 mins cycle, should that happen?

KevinWhiteJA :

let it run mins...and then set another cycle to check if the problem is solved

KevinWhiteJA :

it is out of Demo mode so should be ok now

Customer:

ok, I'll let you know if it starts normally after that

It has gone onto a normal cycle, thank you so much
