Hi . your expansion vessel may be flat or torn inside, but need more info
the copper expansion pipe that falls onto the garage roof is constantly flowing and really gushing out for about 15 seconds every 40 seconds
the heating side of the system seems to be working ok but when it is turned off the water runs cold when the boiler is on the water runs hot onto the garage roof we still have no water at all coming out of the hot taps ,when you open a hot tap you get a dribble of water then there is a slight clunk in the system then nothing
have you left the filling loop tap open ?
Hi , that is the pipe linked to the safety pressure release valve in the boiler . this releases at 3 bar. As the boiler heats the water the water expands. To stop damage they boiler has an expansion vessel. This is a metal vessel with a balloon type device inside. .these arev pumped up to around 1.5 bar. After a while they loose charge and need repressurising .if they go flat there is no where for the expanded water to go except out of the safety valve. You then refill the boiler only for the same thing to happen again and so on. The expansion vessel will need pumping up this can be done with a car trye pump
thanks for the info would this have caused the system
to be recharged quite often
