Hi
Is there a grill in the main oven? If yes, does this work?

Thanks

The grill is separate and above the oven and yes it does work.

Hi Peter thanks

OK
This sounds like a bad selector switch, In the main oven does the interior light come on, and the temperature neon on the fascia?
Do you have the model number?

Thanks
Rob

Hi Peter

OK, there are several versions

of this

There should be a selector switch that selects top oven, fan oven, grill etc.

It is not uncommon for the contacts and the wiring to overheat. A lot of current passes through this switch and can overheat both the wiring and the contacts.
Check this out, if its damaged you will need to replace it.
If you need the replacement, let me know and Ill see if I ca find one for you
