Hi, I have a zwf16070w1 washer, it won't drain and the start button is flashing. I followed some instructions to make it flash with a red light and it did 3 red flashes.. what do I do next? Help!

How and where is the wste hose connected to the house waste?

There is water in the tub,

the waste hose goes straight into the outside drain.

You need to pull the hose out and lay it down from where it comes out of the back of the machine, along the floor and into a shallow bowl
Water will flow
Raise the hose to stop the flow
Continue til no more water flows
The door will then open

Undo the filter on the front. There will be more water in there than normal

There should be something in there that has stopped the drain pump from running
Refit the filter and all should be ok

Hi,

I looked at the pipe at the back and it's draining freely, and I opened the filter at the front and it's clear of any fluff etc. but the machine still flashes at the start button and the door light is on even though the door lock 'clicked' as it engaged so I know it is working.. Any suggestions?

Yes, the filter was clean and the pipe at the rear wasn't blocked either- earlier I followed the instructions I saw on another website as to how to reset the control panel so it would show what it's problem was by the number of red flashes between the green flashing of the start button, and it showed 3 red flashes- which means something..

PS.The water that drained from the filter pipe was dirty

To reset I think I had to press the start button and the one to the left of it simultaneously while turning the programme dial once around clockwise which made the control lights flash in sequence and then turn the programme dial again one space which made the start button flash green then red 3 times.

The start button is just flashing green now

Try this

Turn the appliance on, any programme except the 1st one.

Close the door.

Wait 1 minute.

Press and hold the start/pause and the option button immediately to the left of it together.

The leds should flash, note the number

Then

Turn the knob to the off position.

Press and hold the 2 buttons again.

While holding them, turn the dial 1 notch clockwise.

The leds should flash, release the buttons.

The leds should now be scrolling.

If they are, turn the knob slowly through each position clockwise until you get to off again.

Then turn to any programme.

Turn back to off.

Try the machine again.

Let me know what happens.

I followed your instructions exactly. It scrolled as you described, then flashed red 3 times again. Tried to start it again, still just flashes green.

This is not good news then

The main board is misreporting and now wont reset.

This will need a new board and reprogrammed

The cheapest way Is a fixed price repair as this includes all the parts.

on this one, it looks like the main control board has failed.
Its easy enough to replace and no soldering is involved either;-)
Just simple plug in clips for the wiring.
