Hi George - I jjust need to know how to fix it
I'm just having a look now...Does that sound like your version... year 2005?
exactly that - yes - 2005
Ok thanks... give me a few more minutes please
I have just been looking at the manufacturers information on the board that carries the power switch.. I did this because of the fact that you have noticed a crackling noise when switching on the appliance..
The board is held in the top panel of the front door, but I presume you are aware of this.
Accessing the board is done by removing the top panel.. The board is help within another enclosure behind
so what do i do, what needs fixing and how do i do it?
Once you open the enclosure you will see the board.. You need to inspect the board and change it if necessary.. However
So where do I get a board from?
I've surely not paid £27 to be told to change the board - I can't believe that George. Can I not change a component?
The following image shows the plug on the board for power entry to the board... Inspect this carefully before purchasing a new board, since the plug's solder joints to the board can fail or crack, causing exactly what problem you have.
The original board part number is #1528513102
This I think has been superceded to 973911939219011
How much is it and where do I get it from just in case i need one
Here is a link to the replacement part from the manufacturersThe part is available from the manufacturer a AEG / Zanussi
The manufacturer seems to be selling at the cheapest cost
it's unreal - a new dishwasher is only £200?
Certainly check the current board to see if it can be repaired first
where would the repair point be though?
Have a look at the rear of the connection in the photo I posted for the two solder points... or where the switch is soldered to the board for the same issue
Also, there are companies that can possibly repair these boards.. Two that I am aware of are EMW Electronics and the other is called QER
I do hope my assistance has helped you this evening
I need to follow your instructions to find out whether it was helpful. On the face of it; yes. Where are EMW and QER based? What are their details?
