I have a Stoves double oven and grill. Today without warning

Resolved Question:

I have a Stoves double oven and grill. Today without warning the control panel started blinking and will not switch off. I turned off at mains but when turned back on still ticking and blinking. The hob is working fine. Can you suggest how to reset control panel?

Hi Kathryn

Sorry the model number got crossed out
Can you repost it but put the letter A directly in front so it looks like

A123456

Did you try resetting the clock?

Model no. A444445155
I don't think there was a power cut. I switched the oven on earlier today as was going to bake but changed mind and switched off. This happened about half hour later. I heard the ticking and noticed the panel blinking red.
It is not possible to reset timer as the problem is affecting all the knobs.

Hi

OK, so when you try to change the time by pressing the various buttons, nothing actually cahnges?
Rob
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
That's correct. Pressing the knobs does not connect to anything.

Hi Kathryn

Thanks
In that case its bad news, sorry.

The timer itself has failed.
I have seen this before.

The only remedy is to replace the timer.
The timer is not available from the main wholesalers, only from Stoves them selves
This means ou would need to call them on 0844(###) ###-####br/> Lines open: Mon-Thur 9.00 am - 5.00 pm, Fri 9.00 am - 4.30 pm, Sat & Sun closed

They can tell you availibility and price etc

Sorry it wasnt good news, please dont shoot the messenger

Can I ask you to take a moment and rate my responses so far? Please use the smiley faces / stars, which you should now see. Please remember you are rating me personally, not the website or the problems you have had with this machine.
This will not close your question and you can still come back to me if you need more help
Thanks

Are you absolutely sure. This did happen one time before when someone turned it off at the mains but it rectified itself.

Hi

Thats why I asked if youd had a power cutas this will often throw the timer

You can certainly turn the power off and retry setting it. Give it a few go s you may be lucky.
If not, im afraid its the timer,

Pleae dont forget to rate as this is the only way I get credit for spending my time helping you today

Thanks
