Appliance Repair Questions? Ask a Technician for Answers ASAP
Hi, welcome to just answer
I do not think it is the heating element that is bad
If the element is bad it won't heat
how old is it ?
hi its about 6 years old
OK, if the dishwasher gets too hot the high limit thermostat goes bad and if the element is bad it won't heat at all
the problem is with the power board
it seems the dishwasher gets stuck during drying cycle due to a faulty control and so it overheats
the dishwasher is integrated, so i assume the power board is in the door?
Yes, a new one will cost around £35 + labor
i intend to replace this myself. Is it a clip out clip in part or do i need to solder?
fitting it is quite difficult and should be done by someone who has electrical knowledge ... I would not recommend it as a DIY as mistakes might be dangerous
although it does not require soldering etc
ok thanks for your help
