Hi, welcome to Just answer
please tell me its complete model number
and for how long was it left unplugged ?
that is the only number i can see IQ500. Its at least been off since the start of this conversation so app 15min
I must admit though that it is hard wired into the switch. so we just turn the switch off on the wall
I can't unplug it completely
OK, Thanks for that
press and hold the START button and simultaneously turn it on while holding those buttons
let me know if this works
ok. this unit has the dial for off and then to various settings
and a start button
so first flip switch to on
then hold start and turn dial?
let the dial remain to off ... flip the switch on while holding the Start button
1 sec pls
make sure you hold the Start button for around 10-15 seconds
ok. start button held down then switch flipped to on. held start for 20 sec.
OK, then to open the door you will have to unplug the unit then remove the front kick panel (depends on model number) then try to reach from inside the front panel to door mechanism...there might be a tear drop shaped tab which you can pull down to open the door ...
you can also leave it unplugged over night and it might open up in the morning
this might have been caused due to a blocked drain pump
so you will have to clean it as well after the door is opened
to clean this you will have to clean the filter and drain pump/hose
in short need to get a pro. That in itself is not a problem. The problem is my kids school uniforms are stuck in there.
