Hi , does the display light up at all ?
No, It stopped Yesterday
Please read my question
Well , you said " the LCD display didn't show the pressure reading" that doesn't say that it doesn't show anything else.
The display is blank
Ok , either the PCB fuse has blown or the PCB is blown . by what you were describing the boiler was locking out and by turning off you were resetting, the component that was faulty has probably totally gone and short circuited , blowing the fuse or maybe the PCB . this will most likely be the pump or the fan . but first you will need to check the PCB fuse
All circuit breaker fuses are undisturbed / ON.
Its the fuse within the boiler itself that will need checking .
I don't know how to do that.
You would need a multimeter electrical tester.
Ok let me do that,
I am waiting for the engineer who serviced my boiler in October.
Ok ,so do you mean you are going to get someone to look at it?
My husband is not home now, I have not done anything like this
Iits not easy doing something technical that you haven't done before , but is there anything else, or will you get someone out to repair it?
left messages for local engineer, no one has responded yet.
the only thing I can advise right now, if we can't run through testing is to get a recommended boiler engineer . to be honest I think British gases 200 pound boiler repair , including all parts and labour and a guaranteed fix is quite good as if its not fixed properly they have to come back until it is . I hear so many people telling of bad engineers.
I know its not cheap but some companies will charge more than that , especially as a fan can cost 140 pounds
Thanks for your advice.
