Hi Ann marie are you there?
does the fan inside the freezer or fridge run?
I think that might be what the intermittent whirring noise is I can hear
also how old is the fridge?
and is there any excess frost on the rear wall inside the freezer?
Its a fridge in an outhouse not used very often but it must be about ten years old
no frost its spotless actually
ok, the whirring sound is it coming from the bottom or near the top of the unit?
hard to tell really but at a guess id say the bottom
Thanks Ann marie, this sounds like the start relay on the compressor may be bad. you will need a part called a "Hard Start" to fix this, if the compressor is ok
and likely the compressor is ok especially since you said it isnt used much
had I better get an engineer out then
in this case i would if I were you
he can fix this easily;-)
shouldnt be too much for the repair cost
ok will do, is there somewhere I can download the handbook for this model
let me see one min...
