I have an ecosense dishwasher, and although it does not give

I have an ecosense dishwasher, and although it does not give any error code, when we start it in any wash setting, it sounds like it is starting, but then the timer jumps to "0". I have tried pressing the start button for 3-5 seconds to re-set it, and have also tried unplugging it, but neither seems to work. Can you suggest a solution?

When you start it do you hear the drain pump running for a short time and then it shuts down?

Yes, I think that is what the noise is. There is definitely a motor running, but no water sounds.

OK is it a built in appliance or stand alone?

It is able to be pulled out from under the counter.

OK well to get you started because I have to go out for a couple of hours, pull it out and remove the top and sides and tell me if you have got water in the base area? You will need a Torx 20 screwdriver or driver tip to do this ~ Ian

Well, that does not seem to be very helpful. Why did you answer if you have to go out now?

I have a screw driver and have removed the sides before, so I guess it is a Torx 20?

I will therefore opt out of this conversation and allow a fellow expert to continue with the diagnosis as you are not prepared to wait ~ is that satisfactory?

Well, I am not satisfied, so do not want to pay £20 for our exchange thus far. Since this is the first time I have tried this service, I am not sure how this works, and certainly do not agree to use words like satisfactory.

I fully understand this, I am not asking for any money until such time as you are happy with the responses to your query, in opting out it allows other experts on the system to take over the job. When you have the problem solved then you rate the expert that sorted out your issue. I asked if it was satisfactory (ie OK) for me to pass it on to another expert, this had nothing to do with money merely a request for an OK on the situation.
