Thanks Michael,

Its a Miele Microwave Oven about 3 years old and the model is M8161-2

Michael, Customer Service replied 2 years ago.
Thank you for that.
When you run the microwave oven, does it sound the same or a bit different?
Also do all the other functions appear to work ok?
And when you set it to cook something, does it seem to run, light on, timer counting etc?
Thank you for your patience.

It seems to sound the same no different and the timer is counting down, lights on the oven part seems to be ok its just the microwave wont heat anything

Michael, Customer Service replied 2 years ago.
Thnaks for that info.
This is a failed magnetron, the part that heats the food.
Its fairly easy to replace and I can let you know the best place to order that part if you have the tools and are handy we can assist you with this repair as well.
But a word of caution.
Microwaves can contain LETHAL VOLTAGES even when disconnected from their power supply!!!
If you have some experience with electronics I can help you make this repair.
In any case the repair will be cheaper if you have the part already when you call a tech to install it. Just about any appliance repair shop can fix this for you.
If you would like to order the magnetron the best place for that is Espares:
