Can you post the model number please. Its usually on a sticker inside the fridge behind the salad box.
Ok thanks for that. The fridge on this model gets its cooling from the freezer. The fan in there blows the cold air into the fridge section.
What you need to do is empty the freezer and remove the back panel.
There you will see the evaportaor. If this is all covered in ice you need to use a hairdryer and melt all the ice in there.
Once its fully cleared refit the back panel and turn it back on and see how it goes from there. Fingers crossed this will cure the fault from there.
Check it out and see what you find and let me know.
Took the back off to reveal a fan, is this the evaporator. The fan is now spinning away, a bit noisy. Is this ok
The evaporator is behind that cover. My fault as i should have said theres a small cover in front of the fan.
Then you need to remove the complete panel which has the fan in and the evaporator is behind there.
But if that fan wasnt turning but is now then that could be the fault as if the fan wasnt turning the the cold air isnt getting to the fridge. So refit the panels and retry it and see what its like after an hour or so.
Ok, will check in a while.
No worries, Fingers crossed its good news.
