There I have a hoover washing machine type WMH 168D-80 which

Resolved Question:

Hi there I have a hoover washing machine type WMH 168D-80 which appears to be stuck in a cycle, the display reads 1:28 and I cant get it to move on. I have opened the door, drained the water, cleaned the filter, swithced off at the mains for an hour but when I switch it back on the 128 re appears, any ideas?

If you try and select other cycles is it stll showing the 128 on the display?

When you turned it off did you remove the plug from the socket completey?

Yes no matter what programme I select the 128 never dissapears, it was unplugged for over 1 hour but when I switched on it came straight back up

Hi

Ok try this and see what happens as sometimes running a test cycle can clear it.

1. Press and hold button 1
2. Turn the program selector knob clockwise 2 steps
3. As soon as the LED on button 1 lights, release the button
4. All LEDs should light
5. After three seconds but within 5 seconds press button 1

Now it should run a test cycle.

Leave it to do its thing and then when it stops turn it off and try it again and see how it goes from there and let me know.

Hi Daniel, it has now reset and the wife has just put a small load on, hopefully it will get past 128, dont want to celebrate too early
